Organic Abstraction

Abstraction Art is used interchangeably with Abstract Art as they are very synonymous with each other. Organic Abstraction, on the other hand, pertains to the use of wavy or rounded abstract forms in creating artworks. These forms are usually patterned after what was normally seen in nature. Although Organic Abstraction is not an actual art movement, the use of rounded or wavy abstract forms based on what one finds in nature is a feature of many mid-century artists’ works.
